Whether screen printing a poster, Direct-To-Garment printing a tee or Direct-To-Film pressing a hat, a proper design for the process being used improves results dramatically. In the same way, proper pre-press, especially for Direct-To-Garment and Direct-To-Film printing, improves print quality, especially colour accuracy. It also reduces over spray, white peeking and improves machine performance.

Pre-Press

Creation of base layers and color adjustment for DTG, DTF, Screenprinting. Compensating for garment absorbtion and colour gamut change improves print quality drastically for all decoration process.

Design

Full graphic design services for the garment decoration and print industry, including fully branded packages. We specialize in merchandise for bands, artist's, sports teams and tournaments.

Starting @ $60 CAD per hour

An image that has been retouched, show the original image, grayscale and color corrected.

Image Preparation

Fixing transparency issues on bitmaps, vectorizing images, color correction on photography and repairing old photographs. Prepare for gamut changes when using multiple process for production.

About Us

I've been graphic designer since the early 90's, when I spent most of my time playing shows (drummer/singer), recording music and designing posters, band logos, and album covers. Then college for multimedia production and university for marketing.

I bought a print shop in Calgary, Alberta, and ran it for 8 years, sold it so I could take a holiday. Worked in the signage and display graphics industry for 3 years, helping manage the AHS rebrand of all Alberta provincial hospitals. Then switched to the garment industry for 4 years, setting the standard for DTG files setup, drawing clients from all over Western Canada.

One thing was common across all those industries. Improperly designed and setup files. Files with no bleeds for printing posters, art with transparencies for DTG, bitmap art for screen printing. All fixable, all could've produced even better output had the designer started with the right parameters. Many designers overlook the crucial physical parameters needed for optimal output. I’ve invested time to understand these parameters, and I’m eager to share my knowledge with others.

In my spare moments, I cycle, hike, ski, camp, play music, and spend too much money on concerts and merch with my wife and 3 boys.
